Dr. Regina Belmonte has been providing all the services I have needed for over 12 years. She saw me through both of my pregnancies and her expertise is vast. Even after I moved far away from the city, I still embrace and look forward to her care and services, and I refuse to switch doctors. She is worth the trip! Going through both pregnancies I had to meet with all of the Dr's. and all were wonderful. The nurses are fantastic. I have gotten 98% of what I have ever needed just talking to a nurse. So grateful for this practice and so confident with the care I receive.

Dr. Regina Belmonte joined Northwestern Women’s Health Associates in 2002. She has been board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2001. Dr. Belmonte is on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital / Prentice Women’s Hospital. She is also a clinical instructor at Northwestern University.

Dr. Belmonte believes in shared decision making after educating her patients. Since beginning practice, her area of focus has evolved. She still cares for women of all ages at all stages of life, but Dr. Belmonte no longer provides obstetrical care. Now her focus is on Well Woman Care. Dr. Belmonte provides all contraceptive services. She evaluates and treats common gynecologic concerns related to pap smears, bleeding and pain. She performs hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgical procedures. She assists women with perimenopausal concerns and the transition to menopause. This includes prescribing FDA approved hormone therapy regimens when appropriate.

Dr. Belmonte received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa with Honors in Exercise Science and a minor in Chemistry. She continued at the University of Iowa for her Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Belmonte did her residency training at Loyola, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Regina Belmonte was born and raised in Chicago where she currently lives with her husband, whom she met in medical school. They enjoy good food and travelling the world together.
