Pelvic Pain
Pelvic pain and cramping is often an associated symptom of menstruation. However some women suffer from pelvic pain that is considered chronic. By definition, chronic pelvic pain lasts for 6 months or more. The pain may come and go at specific times or on a regular cycle.
Chronic pelvic pain can have a number of different causes. If you are suffering with pain it’s important to discuss it with your Chicago gynecologist. They will ask for detailed information about your family history and they may do imaging tests such as an ultrasound, to try and learn more about the cause of the pain.
