"I have been a patient of Dr Friedell for almost 25 years. He delivered both my children, and with my 2nd, calmly and expertly averted an unplanned near cesarean after initial complications. The support he provided me through those pregnancies, deliveries and other health issues this period of my life has been wonderful. For many years I never made it to my GP for my annual physical, and I always felt he took the extra time to ensure my labs and other info looked OK. He is still the only one of my various doctors that actually calls to speak to me to discuss specific results! I highly recommend Dr Friedell and his entire team - they are responsive, trustworthy and caring!"

"Dr Friedell has been my doctor for the past 10 years. Through pregnancies and other health situations he always makes me feel like I’m his only patient. He listens, is kind and compassionate but is also knowledgeable, confident and to the point which I very much appreciate. The entire team is so supportive and when dealing with a recent medical issue with other doctors at Northwestern, they called to check in with me after every single appointment. Dr Friedell and the team have made themselves available to me every time I have needed them and I am incredibly grateful to have such an amazing doctor and team working with me. "I recently had my first visit with Dr. Friedell and I’m so happy I chose to see him! The office staff was all very welcoming and helpful. Mr. Friedell took the time to sit down and talk with me in his office before I went into the exam room. I didn’t feel in a rush or like chore to be seen to. "Over the last few years, I had jumped from a few different OB/GYNs trying to find the right fit. Dr. Friedell's practice was recommended to me and I immediately called to set up an appointment. This practice is amazing. I arrived a few minutes early and was checked in by the front desk staff right away. They were kind and friendly! I felt like I was talking to a group of friends. I was brought in right away with minimal wait time. Something to note: I have been there multiple times over the last year, and the experience was the same every time. This was not a one time experience.

I met Dr. Friedell and immediately I was comfortable, confident in his abilities and just overall relieved to be in the hands of someone who cared about me and what I was going through.

"Today was my first visit to see Dr. Belmonte and what an experience! In all my years of going to the doctor's office I have NEVER had a doctor sit down with me in their office before my exam. Very attentive, such a pleasant personality, and I was able to talk to her without feeling embarrassed. "I have been going to Northwestern Women's Health Assoc for 11 years. Dr. Friedell has been my ob/gyn for those years. He delivered both of my children. I have stayed with him for so long bc he is an excellent doctor. I'm not really a fan of going to the doctor, but he makes me feel as comfortable as possible. He answers any questions that I have and continues to provide me with the best care. "I started seeing Dr. Morton when I moved from Florida to Chicago back in 2016. From my first appointment to today Dr. Morton has made what used to be an awkward and uncomfortable yearly appointment into an appointment and experience that I no longer dread. She takes the time to listen to any and all concerns you have - if there is ever something she finds of concern she takes ample amount of time to explain everything to you so you leave feeling knowledgeable and educated vs. confused or worried. I'm forever grateful I happened to find Dr. Morton when looking for a new doctor in Chicago. I've had a few girlfriends move to Chicago from Florida after me and have referred all to Dr. Morton as well!"

"As a mature woman of a "certain age" it has been my experience that gynecological care is difficult to find. Our complaints can be over looked or under valued and at worst result in not seeking help because we may feel embarrassed. At my age, sitting in a waiting room full of young women in various stages of pregnancy, you could say to yourself....Is this the practice for me? YES...this was the practice for me. Pregnancy is not the only reason all women need competent, compassionate, and professional care.

The Northwestern Women's Health Associates S.C. and my physician, Dr. Whitney Dunn, as well as the entire staff of this the office was wonderful. Dr. Dunn, was kind, sensitive to my needs, thorough with her exam and diagnostic test and sound in her judgment on treatment. During this Covid-19 situation she diagnosed my problem and was able to perform two surgeries both of which I have recovered 100%. I am very fortunate and grateful for the care and treatment I received from Dr. Whitney Dunn."

"I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Friedell and his team. I began seeing him at the beginning of my pregnancy. Being a first time mom, I had tons of questions. He always took the time to hear my concerns and answer all my questions. From the beginning, I was well informed on what to expect during each stage of my pregnancy. I really fell in love with his care during my third trimester, more specifically the last few weeks of pregnancy and the first week postpartum. Dr. Friedell was so consistent in monitoring my daughter and making sure things were progressing smoothly. He had warned me that she was going to be a big baby and with that came the risk of some complications. Thanks to Dr. Friedell’s thoroughness, I was fully prepared for labor & delivery. He checked on us every day in the hospital and even called us a few times after that just to check in and make sure things were going smoothly. It was very evident that Dr. Friedell cared about my recovery as well as how the baby was doing. When we are ready for our next child, I will certainly be working with Dr. Friedell again. Until then, I will continue to use him for all my gynecological needs."

"Dr. Roth delivered both of my daughters and was absolutely amazing. I had complications with my first delivery where I needed additional surgery post delivery- she fought for me in the OR so that I didn't have a hysterectomy, stayed with me post surgery so my husband could be with our daughter and had everything prepared on my 2nd delivery "just in case". She is amazing and cares so much for her patients."

"I cannot say enough good things about this practice, and specifically about Dr. Friedell. Last week was the birth of my third child and second delivery with Friedell. When a scheduled induction became more complicated than I had anticipated, Dr Friedell worked overtime to make sure he saw it through to the end, instead of handing me off to another doctor. All of the fears I had during labor and delivery were put at ease knowing he was there keeping a close eye on things and making the right calls. He is truly both an expert in his field and a compassionate and caring doctor. I am so grateful to have had yet another wonderful experience with him."

"I started with the practice when I moved to Chicago almost 7 years ago! Dr Regina Belmonte was my gynecologist and when I got pregnant with my first baby, she suggested Dr Julianne Morton as a great choice for an OB. Dr Morton has been such a joy to work with! She's great at answering all your questions. During all my appointments, I feel listened to and comfortable enough to bring up any questions I have. She has a great team of nurse practitioners who are prompt to assist with any general matters. She made my first pregnancy experience so wonderful, that she's also my doctor this time around. "Following my appointment with Doctor Regina Belmonte, I was confident of several things. After a week search on internet and discussions with a few colleagues at work, I knew she was an excellent choice. Within minutes of examination, Doctor Belmonte relieved me of some of the problems, and continued on with thorough diagnostic procedures for the other symptom. Doctor Belmonte ensured I had contacts for the office, who were pleasant and efficient. She sent home a patient ready to face anything with her as my Doctor. "I transferred to this practice at 32 weeks pregnant and was under the care of Dr. Friedell. I had a very normal pregnancy up until labor where a few complications arose. Dr. Friedell and his team made me feel so safe and cared for during a pretty stressful time. Our son was born via cesarean after a 40 hour labor and Dr. Friedell did a wonderful job during the surgery. The scar is healing beautifully. I truly feel like a part of the family at this practice and I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful doctor when I moved to Chicago late in my pregnancy."

"I'm extra satisfied from the service that I got here from the beginning when I made my first appointment for confirming my pregnancy, starting with the staff at the reception, during whole my pregnancy with all the nurses, lab technicians, and doctors that I met there...until my delivery at the Prentice Hospital!!! Amazing experience even though I needed to drive almost 50 miles for every appointment IT WAS WORTHED!I don't think that you can find better treatment somewhere else! I'm not changing these peoples!!!"

"Highly recommend this office for truly professional care

I sought assistance from this office after experiencing severe complications as a result of a procedure performed by another doctor.

I changed doctors and came to this office and saw Dr. Stanley Friedell. During my first visit and every visit thereafter, I was very well taken care of by him, his assistants and other staff. Dr. Friedell's demeanor was direct and he answered all of my questions. He was compassionate about the problem and walked me through what I needed to do to resolve the issue. He personally followed up with me by making phone calls at home which seems rare these days.

I felt very comfortable and had full confidence in him and his nurses during the new procedure, follow up visits and everything that was involved during my recovery.

I would HIGHLY recommend him and his office for anyone looking for professional and quality gynecology services. "

"I have been coming to Dr. Friedell for many years. During my yearly visits, Dr. Friedell is not only very knowledgeable but also extremely patient, funny, and takes his time with me. He takes his time in reviewing my history and documenting my visit appropriately. I have never seen someone so dedicated to their line of work. My girls are now 7 and 6 years old and Dr. Friedell delivered both of them. Both times, he was coming back from a trip, and he got the call from the hospital while at O’hare – and both times, he came to the hospital to deliver my babies. I am 57 years old and I have two adult children, so I have seen my fair share of gynecologists. I was referred to Dr. Friedell two years ago when I started to have some female problems. He is so much more than any other doctor in his field that I have ever been to. He has a way of explaining things so that you completely understand all your options. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He is honest and direct. He also has a wonderful sense of humor! "

"I was recommended to NWWH through a friend after a year of unsuccessful IUI with my partner. We were seen and cared for by Dr. Friedell. Best decision ever. You will definitely wait for the doctor for maybe 30 minutes past your appointment time but you will not regret it. His thoroughness and patience to explain everything to us in a way we understood was amazing. He was quick to start a game plan for us. We will definitely stick with Dr. Friedell as our OB/GYN.

" I was referred to NW Women's Health Associates by my gynecologist when I received the wonderful news of being pregnant. At first, I was hesitant to continue seeing a doctor in the city because we live in the SW suburbs, so I was anxious about the possibility of getting stuck in traffic during labor. Well, all I can say is I am so glad I went to this practice and would even commute further to be treated by them if I had to. And by the time I was ready to deliver, the distance didn't bother me at all because of the sound plan the practice and I had in place.

Over the course of the pregnancy, each encounter I had with my doctor, the other doctors in the practice, the front desk staff, nurses and lab techs has been professional and genuine. A few key points:

• The practice is thorough in tracking and keeping your records. Nothing is worse than going to the doctor only to find out there is a lack of organization and collaboration within the practice. This will not happen here. They are on their game and it is hard to find that these days.
• They take pride in their service. People who genuinely care about the job they do, and the satisfaction of their clients/patients, tend to go the extra mile - a common theme in this practice. These folks are straight shooters. You will not get the runaround with them. You can expect intelligent answers to all your questions and an open dialogue in each visit. You can expect a thorough check up each time and a thorough review of your history.
• Reliability - As a first time mom, I had plenty of questions throughout my pregnancy about what to expect and what was normal. Every time I called the office, even if it was 2am, I received a call back promptly to discuss my concerns and always felt relieved after hanging up the phone.
• Billing - I never had an issue with an invoice/balance. Not once. This is a rarity these days in the health care industry and was one less thing for me to worry about.
• Partnership - One of my favorite attributes about this place is they treat their patients as "partners" in establishing the best customized plan for your care and in all decision making when things don't always go as planned (a likely story in L&D!). You will never be demeaned, brushed off, or left out throughout your care.

All in all, I feel the health of myself and my beautiful baby has been in the best hands possible, and for that, I am forever grateful to have been treated by a wonderful team of doctors and staff. My husband & I truly consider them extended family, and look forward to being a long term patient! "

"I have been going to Dr. Friedell for over a year now and he has been nothing less than amazing. When I first came to him to discuss pregnancy, he was incredibly informative and understanding. He was also willing to take the time to answer all of my questions and help in any way he could. He just delivered my son in March and to say he went the extra mile during delivery would be an understatement. I had some complications and with any other doctor I would have had a c-section. Dr. Friedell worked with me and was extremely patient and because of his care and expertise I had a successful vaginal delivery. I cannot recommend him highly enough! "

"Excellent care. Dr. Stanley Friedell provides thorough, detailed, experienced care. He's delivered close to 9,000 babies! He has truly "seen it all." I was referred to him by a friend and stayed with him for my pregnancy and delivery because he made me feel taken care of in every way - and as a patient who was simply scared of getting pregnant and delivering a baby because of a tricky heart condition that means a lot. Sure, there might be times when your appointment time is not honored to the minute and you're left waiting BUT it's only because he is giving his time and attention to another woman who needs it and that you might need when it is your turn. A little bit of a wait is a small price to pay for top-notch, quality healthcare. He will ALWAYS make time for you. He calls his patients in the evening to talk about test results or questions you email to him that day. He knows what he's doing! Stan is to-the-point and will tell you exactly what's going on and what you need to know and answers questions before you have even thought of them. He once told me "don't go home and google this" knowing that I would. The office is no bells and whistles but is definitely a well-oiled machine. The nurses are knowledgeable and patient. A special shout out to the Nurse Practitioner, Amber and the Leann the ultrasound tech. They are also incredible at their jobs and take excellent care of their patients. I also have a serious thing with needles and when I explained to him that I'd need to lay down for the blood work I heard him step out and be sure his staff knew that I was to lay down and to stay there for as long as I needed. I have recommended him to my sister, my closest girlfriends and even strangers! There is no one else I want to take care of my sister and best friends than Dr. Friedell. He stayed late at the hospital to deliver me (when I know he had a family commitment that night) and I know he's done the same for other patients. The nurses at Prentice knew him by name and spoke of him kindly. There aren't enough positive things I could say about Dr. Friedell. "

" Dr. Friedell has been my gynecologist for many years and I have always found him to be friendly, informative, professional and quite literally a lifesaver. I had unknowingly had cancer. I had a strange symptom that other doctors had not been able to diagnose and Dr. Friedell nagged me to IMMEDIATELY get a mammogram that was the start in diagnosing my disease. I had treated my symptom casually, but he picked up on a problem and I am now in remission.

He is very busy and because he is dedicated, he will sometimes return a call at 9:30 at night rather than let me worry all night. He is a wonderful doctor and a terrific, caring person. His nurses have always been top-notch. I wouldn't switch for all the chocolate at Fannie Mae. "

" I love Dr. Feldstein. As you can imagine, a visit to the OBGYN is generally not a pleasant thing. I went through a string of horrible OB's before finding Dr. Feldstein, and he is by far the best.

He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and thoroughly explain what he's doing. He also speaks to you like a normal person, not in that condescending tone that many doctors seem to be big fans of.

My only complaint would be parking, but as his office is downtown, there's not much I can do about that!

All in all, I'm a huge fan of Dr. Feldstein. He definitely knows his stuff! "

" I had a great experience with Dr. Friedell. He was given my case in late December/early January, and had scheduled a pre-op visit and tentative surgery date in early January. I made several trips to the office, but he was helpful in finding previous ultrasounds and made sure we were proceeding correctly prior to surgery. My surgery at Prentice went smoothly. I definitely pleased with the care I have received. "

"Dr. Friedell has been my doctor for about 15 years now. Coming here from NYC years ago, I was very nervous about who to choose for my first pregnancy, yet my sister-in-law raved about Dr. F, therefore I knew I should be in good hands. 2 children later (each child not interested in making an on time appearance and Dr. F handling that expertly), at 40 years old I found that I had fibroids, one giant, and they had to be removed by surgery.

Dr. Friedell was very candid with me about my chances for robotic surgery vs incision. He was helpful explaining all of my options and the pros and cons of each. I interviewed one of his pharma reps who told me if she ever had surgery she would go to him. Last Tuesday I had a very successful robotic surgery that he performed. He knew that I had a new job and vacation planned and that I was very focused on having robotic surgery vs a larger incision (longer recovery time).

I feel great. I am up and walking 2 miles a day less than a week later. Everything is working! I would recommend Dr. Friedell for my daughter when she is old enough to need a gyno. I trust him with my life and in return he's made my quality of life so much better for me. Thank you!

I would also add that his staff are very professional and courteous. I was very nervous about the surgery and Ariana, his assistant, put me right at ease, talking me off of the ledge repeatedly. "

" If you are new to Chicago or are just looking for a new physician, please make an appointment with Dr. Friedell. This is the first time in my adult life, that a doctor spent an hour with me going over my medical history, asking questions and documenting my history accurately. " I switched to Dr. Roth mid pregnancy due to health insurance reasons and it was probably the best decision I have ever made in my life. She is definitely warm and funny but also extremely competent and knowledgeable. I would say what makes her stand out from other doctors is how calm and not reactive she is in even the most dire situations. My son was in serious fetal distress (unexpected and not preventable) and she was very calm and reassuring as we literally ran to the OR for my c-section. With the rise of c-sections today, I feel Dr. Roth is one of the few remaining fabulous ob's that truly plans for normal vaginal births (your choice if you want an epi or not) and although I needed a c-section I knew it was truly necessary. I could not speak more highly of her, not only did she save my son’s life but she made me feel safe, secure and empowered even when decisions and actions were out of my hands. "

"I've been going to Dr. Belmonte since 2000 (at least). She delivered my 1st child and she has been awesome the entire time I've been a patient. Just like Andrea R., it is hard to get an appt but it's well worth the trip. I've been to Dr. with my son & they rush you through the exam. Dr. Belmonte takes her time & answers all the questions you can think of. She's the best.

I was referred to her by my god mother who works at Northwestern & I've been satisfied from day one.

" I really like Dr. Belmonte. She is warm and funny, which is a nice change from a lot of the doctors I've seen in the past. " Dr. Sharon Wise is awesome! She has been my ob/gyn for 3 ½ years, since I moved to Chicago, She was recommended to me by an MD friend of mine (who was a patient of Dr. Wise’s and saw her throughout her pregnancy). She is a straight shooter. She takes time out to talk to you! By my second visit I found out I was pregnant. She has since delivered ALL my babies (3) including my twins who arrived early! "

" I live in Indiana & called the referral line & my 1st visit I was so glad to have found such a friendly Dr. who explains everything thoroughly & takes the time to answer any ?’s. I needed a procedure done which I didn’t want done br Dr’s around me & that is why I went to Chicago. She explained it, & even a couple days before I called about a ? thinking a nurse would all back & the Dr. did herself & didn’t act in a hurry. I don’t do well having anything done in hospital because of a major brain surgery years ago & told her. She said not to worry, it would be ok. That a.m. when she came in & asked how I was doing I started crying. She sat on the bed & was so nice saying everything will be fine (then she told the anesthesiologist to put med in IV which worked right away). To see anyone say she has not bedside manners is crazy, she is the best Dr. & makes you feel very comfortable going to her. "

She was appropriately concerned about all of my concerns, making suggestions in some cases, but reassuring me in others.
